Formula or the Nipple?

Man, if you don’t want to read about babies or kid stuff, you may not want to read my blog anymore! That is all that’s on my brain. I dream about Joshua, I see him when I close my eyes, I can even smell him sometimes! This is a trip!

Well, in the world of too much information, Josh had a HUGE poop in his diaper early this morning. Yellow, rotten, cottage cheese type stuff. It was awesome! He also peed all over the wall! (Dad missed that, but he was very proud!) We have a little boy in our house!

We tried the powdered formula again but with a different nipple (a longer and skinnier one) and he’s done alright with the powdered stuff. Donald did get me signed up on Enfamil to get coupons and stuff since he seems to like it the best.

I like this parent stuff. It’s fun! Tiring, but a lot of fun.

  1. I’ve been reading your blog for a while… such memories are surfacing and although I’m a stranger to you, I wanted to share. Almost 20 years ago I was experiencing SO many similar things with our first… our adopted little baby girl.
We have come a long way and our story is looooong.
I just want to pass along my heart-felt congratulations… soak up every moment… learn lots about adopted children… be open and honest… pray for the birthmom…
There is a beautiful adventure ahead, filled with unknowns, giving you lots of opportunity to be courageous and full of grace:)
    Enjoy!

  2. I also forgot to tell you in the fury of info I wrote - the BIGGEST advice for gassiness - DR. BROWNS bottles - they are a bit more expensive (comparable to avent) and a pain to wash, but SOOOO WORTH IT. They are amazing. So excited for you all - Welcome to a new kind of “being in the trenches”! I love the pee story - wait until he projectile poops across the room - both Sam and Noah hit the wall with poop! Makes for great bonding and great stories to tell their future girlfriends!
